These horses were not created for the pleasure and profit of others. The cruel practice of carriage horses must be stopped. Concerned NYers, and there are many, who care about the horses who are forced to do this ludicrous, unnecessary, dangerous work wish her well. NYC would be better off without horse drawn carriages. The animals, retired to a sactuary, would be far better off. Kudos to Ms. Cheever, whose work and achievements show her to be responsible, caring, and professional. Concerned NYers, and there are many, who care about the horses who are forced to do this ludicrous, unnecessary, dangerous work wish her well.
