Trump Lawyer Wants Krueger Fired

A top lawyer for real estate mogul and reality television personality Donald Trump is planning to challenge State Sen. Liz Krueger in the Democratic primary.
Michael Cohen, special counsel to Trump and an executive at the Trump Organization, wants to tap into voters’ anti-incumbency mood, especially toward those in Albany. The Senate coup and subsequent month-long stalemate was the “precipitating factor” for the bid, Cohen said. He also criticized Krueger and her colleagues for failing to deal with New York’s financial problems and close the budget deficit.

State Sen. Liz Krueger may get a Democratic primary challenge from Donald Trump's top lawyer.
“Somebody needs to step up to the plate and almost teach these senators the right way to balance a budget,” Cohen said.
Cohen is a long-time Democrat but switched his enrollment to Republican for an unsuccessful 2003 bid for City Council. But he is touting his experience with Trump, which includes representing his boss on four boards, balancing budgets and handling contracts.
“None of these people would have made the cut working for him,” Cohen said.
If there were ever an Albany edition of The Apprentice, where business-savvy contestants and celebrities compete to work for Trump, Cohen predicted that no senator would win.
“He’d fire the entire lot, lock, stock and barrel,” Cohen said.
