Political History: I have been a member of the Vernon Board of Education for 22 years. Currently serving as vice president. I am also currently the president of the Sussex County School Boards Association and am on the Board of Directors for the New Jersey School Boards Association. I have been an appointee to the Federal Relations Network of the National School Boards Association since 2008.

Education: Graduate Vernon Township Hgh School, Dover Business College, NJSBA Academy.

Family: Married to John Auberger. I have three adult children, a son-in-law and a grandson. My husband and children are all graduates of Vernon HS.

Top three concerns: My number one concern has always been and will always be ... the children of Vernon Township. My second concern is maintaining the level of education and programs that Vernon offers those children in well maintained buildings while being fiscally responsible to the Vernon Community. Third: Addressing the concerns and suggestions that have come about as a result of the Strategic Vision Plan recently completed by the district. With the board, I hope to work with our new superintendent, when he or she is hired, to create the goals that will set our plan on its 2-5 year course.
