A gifted tech entrepreneur was struck and killed by a speeding SUV Landrover on April 2 and succumbed to her injuries three days later.

The victim, Sophia D’Antoine, 30, was stuck only a half block from her apartment on E. 87th St. Police said she was crossing York Ave. at E. 87th St. when she was stuck by a Land Rover SUV driven by a 72 year old man.

She was a graduate of Renseller Polytechnic Institute and was a co-founder of Margin Research, a tech company that specializes in software program analysis, reverse engineering, vulnerability research, and offensive threat intelligence, according to its website.

After the Land Rover hit her, it struck a taxi head on before crashing into a parked Ford Explorer.

D’Antoine was rushed to Weill Cornell Medical Center but died from her injuries on April 5.

The 62 year-old taxi driver was taken to Elmhurst Hospital and was listed in stabled condition.

The driver who caused the accidents remained on the scene and had not been charged as of April 15, but police said the investigation is continuing. The Upper East Site blog said that the Land Rover had received five tickets for speeding in a school zone.
