AGUA TAKES TO WATER

Asphalt Green Unified Aquatics — AGUA — stormed the pool at Lehman College for the 2017 Metro Zone Qualifier Meet on Feb. 10-12. Athletes from all over Westchester county, New York City and Long Island came to swim for spots on the Metro Zone team, which heads to the Eastern Zone Short Course Championship in late March. AGUA sent 36 athletes and placed 10 swimmers on the team, tying for the most of any in the Local Swimming Committees.
In a standout performance, AGUA’s Levi Skaistis broke one of the oldest records in Metro swimming. In the 50 freestyle, Levi clocked a time of 28.64 breaking the 8-and-under record set in 1981.
