UES Resident, 47, Dead in Apparent Suicide

First responders in the Upper East Side found the body of 47-year-old man at 8:00 on Monday, November 13. He was sprawled on the pavement in front of a luxury apartment building on East 81st Street and East End Avenue, in the Yorkville neighborhood near the waterfront. EMS declared him dead on the scene.
Police said that the death was a probable suicide, with some witnesses testifying that they saw him jump from a balcony on the 16th floor of the building. No criminality is suspected, but an investigation and final medical examination is ongoing.
Police did not disclose the identity of the deceased pending notification of the next of kin.
